Your Well Being

You are responsible for your own well-being throughout the Seminar and for any value you derive. We have found that maximum value may be obtained by participating fully in the Seminar. While incredibly valuable and rewarding, at times you may find some of the personal exploration a bit uncomfortable or challenging as you enter this process of self-discovery. This is especially true as people discover how they have been limiting themselves, blocking the expression of their own Heart, and holding back from claiming their magnificence. Insight does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, or crisis-intervention services and does not assume responsibility for addressing physical, mental, or emotional conditions.

If you have any questions about your ability to participate, please contact your local Insight representative.

If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, or if you or anyone in your immediate family has a history of mental illness or a serious emotional disorder, you are strongly encouraged to obtain clearance from a licensed mental health professional prior to the Seminar. If you have doubts about your ability to manage stress, Insight recommends you do not attend.

Each day, there is one meal break in the late afternoon or early evening. You may want to come prepared by bringing some sort of snack each day.

Participants with medical or accessibility-related needs requiring accommodations must notify Seminar Staff in writing before the Seminar begins so arrangements can be considered.

Neurodiversity and Trauma-Informed Consideration

Insight Seminars acknowledges that individuals process experiences differently and may identify as neurodivergent or have a history of trauma. Our seminars are educational and experiential and are not therapy, counseling, clinical treatment, or crisis support. Facilitators are not acting in the capacity of mental health professionals and do not provide mental health services or operate in any licensed capacity.

We strongly recommend that anyone with a history of trauma, emotional sensitivity, or a diagnosis related to neurodivergence consult with a qualified healthcare provider prior to attending. Your provider can help you determine if participation in this setting is appropriate for you at this time. By choosing to attend, participants agree that they are solely responsible for their mental, emotional, and physical well-being during the Seminar.

Physical Contact in Seminar Processes

Some experiential processes in Insight Seminars may include brief, non-invasive physical contact such as hand-holding, hugs, or other gestures, including supportive touches on the shoulder or back, as part of the seminar’s designed exercises. Participation in any physical contact is voluntary at all times.

If you are not comfortable with physical contact for any reason, you must notify the Insight Seminars Staff in writing prior to the start of the Seminar so that appropriate boundaries can be supported.

Emotional Distress and Participation Guidelines

Insight Seminars acknowledges that personal growth work can evoke strong emotions. While we aim to provide a respectful and supportive space, participants are responsible for managing their own well-being and participation.

If a participant chooses to leave the seminar space due to emotional distress or any other reason, they should check with a facilitator or staff member to communicate their needs and receive support as appropriate. If a participant leaves the seminar for an extended period of time, they may be asked to complete the seminar at a future date. The Cancellation and Refund Policy will apply in such cases.

Agreements

The Agreements below and throughout this document are intended to have legal significance. If you have any questions about their meaning, you should consult an attorney.

I understand that Insight Seminars are considered by many participants as private and personal experiences. I agree to respect the confidentiality of all participants and their remarks and actions, and I agree to keep all such information private and confidential. I also agree not to take photographs, make an audiotape, video, or any other electronic recording of any portion of the Seminar. I understand that Insight cannot guarantee confidentiality by other participants, and I release Insight from liability for any breach of confidentiality committed by another participant or attendee.

There are some circumstances where Insight is required by law to disclose or report certain confidential information to the authorities. It is Insight’s policy to report child abuse and dependent elder abuse if Insight becomes aware of it during the Seminar. Insight will make mandated reports consistent with applicable California Penal Code requirements, including those relating to child abuse, elder abuse, and dependent-adult abuse.

I understand that all materials, concepts, and information (collectively “Materials”) presented by Insight Seminars during the Seminars, either orally or in writing, are the property of Insight Seminars and are protected by copyright, trade secret, and other applicable laws. I acknowledge that the Materials constitute commercially valuable, proprietary, confidential property of Insight Seminars, the design and development of which required the investment of substantial effort, time, and money.

All rights in the Seminars and the Materials are expressly reserved by Insight Seminars. I agree not to reproduce, copy, or otherwise duplicate, and not to distribute, lend, or otherwise transfer, the Materials without the prior written permission of Insight Seminars. I agree not to use the Materials in any way that would compromise the confidential and proprietary nature of the Materials.

I understand that the Materials presented by Insight in the Insight Seminars are intended solely for use in the Seminars. I understand that while I am free to use the Materials for my own personal use, and free to tell others about the benefits I realized from the Seminars, I agree not to resell, reproduce and sell, modify and sell, or repackage and sell the Materials. I agree that I will not use the Materials for any purpose other than my own personal use, except with the prior written permission of Insight Seminars. I agree not to deliver the Materials themselves, either reproduced or modified, or anything derived from the Materials, either orally or in writing, as part of any Seminar, training program, workshop, consulting, or similar business activity which I make available to my clients or to others, except with the prior written permission of Insight Seminars.

Participant receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Materials for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Any commercial or instructional use without Insight’s advance written permission is prohibited.

Arbitration Agreement

I agree that any controversy or claim arising out of my registration and/or my participation in the Insight Seminars or any associated activities, including the interpretation, execution, application, and enforcement of this Arbitration Agreement, will be determined exclusively through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of JAMS (Judicial Arbitration Mediation Service) and not by lawsuit or resort to court process, except as applicable law provides for judicial review, confirmation and enforcement of arbitration proceedings. This Agreement includes arbitration of claims that there have been any wrongful acts or omissions, intentional or otherwise, by Insight Seminars, its officers, managers, employees, agents, and/or volunteers. The decision of the arbitrators may be entered in any court that has competent jurisdiction of such matters. The arbitration shall be conducted by a single neutral arbitrator, and the arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this Agreement, including any claim that all or any part of this Agreement is invalid or void. BY SIGNING THIS, I AM AGREEING TO HAVE ANY ISSUE OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN INSIGHT SEMINARS DECIDED BY NEUTRAL ARBITRATION, AND I AM WAIVING ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL OR COURT PROCEEDING.

Choice of Law

I understand that Insight Seminars, Inc. is a California non-profit benefit educational organization and that this Agreement shall be construed and governed by the laws of the State of California. This Agreement may not be modified unless in writing and signed by both parties.

I agree to abide by the above Confidentiality Agreement, Arbitration Agreement, Choice of Law, and Proprietary Material Agreement.

Notice of Important Information

Please read the section below carefully and completely. If you have any questions, please contact Insight Seminars. We will assume from your participation in the Insight Seminar that you have a full understanding of the following sections and will follow our recommendations.

The Insight Seminar Series is an educational curriculum designed to assist people in their personal transformation. It provides a respectful environment in which people may explore what’s working and not working in their lives. It offers the opportunity to consider how they can better support themselves in living a more joyful, fulfilling and effective life in alignment with their personal goals and values, while manifesting greater levels of success and abundance.

The Insight Seminar Series is educational in nature. It is not therapy, counseling, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional care.

Insight’s facilitators are extensively trained in the curriculum of Insight Seminars and do not act in any licensed or clinical capacity during the Seminar, even if they hold professional licenses outside the Seminar.

Through a series of partnership exercises, small and large group discussions, voluntary sharing with the facilitator(s) and the group, and short guided imagery exercises, the Insight Seminars provide an environment conducive to personal exploration. This is a process of self-revelation and an opportunity to discover what it means to be authentic, to know one’s true self, and to live in and from the Heart. Insight Seminars offers a unique technology of the Heart through which people have the opportunity to transform themselves and create new possibilities in their lives.
