Mary Ann Somerville

Mary Ann Somerville is an international educator, consultant and executive coach. Since 1980 she has assisted over 50,000 people to create greater fulfillment and balance in their personal and professional lives while achieving outstanding results. Her work has taken her to Europe, Australia, Russia, South America, Asia, Canada and United States.

She is a lead facilitator and design consultant for Insight Seminars.  For the last seven years she has worked as a consultant with Triad Consulting conducting Managing Difficult Conversations courses for a variety of corporate clients including Honda, HP, Xilinx, BP, Conoco, and CIBC.

Ms. Somerville is an innovator in the field of experiential learning and communication.  She designs customized programs and coaching formats for teams and organizations to develop the skills and strategies needed to work effectively and efficiently in a rapidly changing, culturally diverse. “global” workplace. 

Ms. Somerville has been the Director of Training and International Enrollment Director for Insight Seminars. She has developed and delivered programs for Americorps volunteers, the 4-H National Council and the Drucker Foundation and other non-profit organizations.

She co-created and facilitates the Gift of the Heart Seminar.  These seminars, which are funded through private donations and sponsored by Insight Seminars, are offered to patients, families and caregivers who are dealing with the challenges of life-threatening illnesses.  Ms. Somerville also co-founded one of the first Parent Cooperative Schools in the United States.

Ms. Somerville holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Spiritual Science. She lives in Santa Barbara where she is currently working on her first book.
