John Morton

John Morton's life is dedicated to promoting peace and to assisting people in discovering the good, the Spirit, and the blessings within themselves and everything.  In addition to being Insight’s Spiritual Director, John is one of Insight’s Senior Facilitators and serves on our Board of Directors.

John is known for his ability to lift and inspire listeners with his gentleness and practical approach. In all of the work that he does, John focuses on the good in all and sharing that goodness with others. His devotion to this work of the Spirit is an inspiration to those touched by his example.  Both of his books, The Blessings Already Are and You Are The Blessings (available through Amazon.com and in bookstores nationwide), are practical and inspirational guides to finding the blessings in everyday life and offer the reader an opportunity to view life through the eyes of loving and acceptance.

Since 1978, John has worked closely with John-Roger and traveled the world to conduct seminars and workshops.  He serves as Spiritual Director for many organizations, including:  Insight Seminars, The Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), Peace Theological Seminary & College of Philosophy (PTS), and The Institute for Individual and World Peace (IIWP).  John currently facilitates regular live web casts focusing on spiritual awareness on such subjects as Loving Relationships, Finding Peace in Today’s World and The Blessings Already Are.

John co-founded and currently serves as President of the Travelers Foundation dedicated to the study and development of spiritual awareness, peace, and service.  He also serves on the Boards of the University of Santa Monica and the New Visions Foundation.

John’s life is a living example of someone dedicated to serving humankind. John’s commitment to serve and assist others, often in difficult or challenging situations, has inspired him to make humanitarian journeys to such places as the Middle East, South Africa, Nigeria, Colombia and Afghanistan. He is known for his ability to find the blessings in any situation and to assist others in doing the same.
