David Raynr

David began his love affair with INSIGHT SEMINARS in 1978, at the tender age of 17, when he took the Insight I Seminar for the first time. Although, at the time, he was involved in a successful professional acting career, David immediately made the commitment to go through the extensive Insight Facilitator Training Program in order to become an Insight Facilitator. David began facilitating Insight Seminars in 1982, specifically working with TEEN INSIGHT Seminars.
Rather than continue acting, David began to focus on his writing and directing career. He hooked up with Martin Lawrence and co-produced ‘Thin Line Between Love And Hate,’ helping Martin direct and write the film. His official directorial debut began with the comedy film, ‘Trippin’, (October Films) followed by another comedy, ‘Whatever It Takes’ (Columbia/Phoenix Pictures). David helped launch the careers of such actors as James Franco, Colin Hanks, Shane West, Anthony Anderson, Donald Faison, Marla Sokoloff and other exciting young talent.
In 2003, David re-teamed with Martin Lawrence to direct Martin’s classic concert film, ‘Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat’ (Mtvfilms/Paramount Pictures). The film was a critical and box office success. In 2006, David’s latest directorial effort, ‘Spiritual Warriors,’ a metaphysical adventure, was released. His film company, BRIGHT IDEA ENTERTAINENT, is currently in pre-production on his newest film, ‘A Compton Christmas Story.’
However, no matter what happens in his entertainment industry career, twenty-five years and hundreds of seminars later, David continues to facilitate Insight Seminars for children, teens and adults around the world.
