Is Insight a religion?

No. Insight is not here to change your beliefs, but rather to offer information for your consideration. We encourage people to test the teachings inside themselves and see if they work or not. No one involved with Insight should "leave their brains at the door" when they participate. People are free to come and go in Insight, participate as much or little as they wish and to live their lives as they wish. Insight s three basic groundrules that we use with all of our work are: *Take care of yourself so you can help take care of others. *Dont hurt yourself and dont hurt others. *Use everything for your upliftment, growth and learning. The idea of calling a both spiritual and non-spiritual groups a "cult" has become very popular. In fact, over the course of time, most every church, personal development seminar, even the US Army, have been referred to as a cult, and Insight is no exception. One religious scholar said that a cult is a group that another group doesnt like. Insight is not a religion, nor is it a group that tries to brainwash or control people. In fact, quite the opposite. Insight is all about people choosing what works for them and letting go of what doesnīt. Insight is about people trusting that their answers lie within. Itīs not a doctrine or belief system or set way of thinking. Insight is about people experiencing their own magnificence, discovering what they really want in life and how they block themselves from getting it through looking at their limiting belief patterns, guilt, resentment, fear. learning how to let go of whats blocking them and then exploring and building upon their own strengths to create a life that is joyful, fulfilling, successful and abundant. Insight is about people believing in themselves and their own innate goodness, discovering their self-worth and the incredible power of accepting, loving and honoring themselves as they are.
